the squat is the number one exercise… the queen of exercises… the king of exercises… the thinking person’s exercise

if so desired a person can do a full body work-out with just this one exercise

on one occasion in the mid 1980’s when the writer was at his peak physically and after just having completed the last squat of set of eight at the local training centre, he turned to trevor curtin, the then third best powerlifter in the world in his weight category, and asked him “why do my biceps hurt when I squat?”

trevor said “the squat ekes out the weakest point in the body

the squat is a movement that polices itself !

it is this website’s goal to work up a sweat using just this exercise

it may be seen as cheating but this person intends to overdress when he begins squatting again as a way of over-heating the body and getting a sweat going
