vegetable soup

put a can of vegetable soup (mushroom, tomato, vegetable etc.) into a saucepan

fill the empty can with water and put that into the saucepan too

bring to the boil and then reduce to a simmer

add the vegetables (cut the vegetables to a size, the smaller they are cut, the quicker they cook, so that all the vegetables become cooked at the same time) add salt and pepper and taste as you go along
